Opening workshop "Agents of change in old-industrial regions of Europe"

Scientists from Germany, Sweden, Czechia, Hungary and UK will meet from 24 to 26 February 2019 in Leipzig for a first exchange of ideas

At their first workshop, the project partners want to discuss appropriate theory concepts, research methodologies and case study regions.  as well as research ethics and organisational questions of project management. More details on the workshop can be found in the event flyer.

Under the leadership of the Leibniz Institute for Regionale Geography, the international research project Agents of change in old-industrial regions of Europe investigates the different development potentials of old-industrialized regions with the aim of identifying new development paths for structurally weak areas in Europe. The Volkswagen Foundation is providing a total of € 925,000 for the project over the next three years.
